We positioned the screw organizer on the left of the mat for distance from the grounding point, helping ensure the cable never interferes with screw tracking and organization. With so many of our team members accessing the same screwdrivers, we’ve learned that pegboard-mounting tools makes for fast organization that is easily restored when cleaning-up. Our PC building toolkit comes with holes in the bag and in the driver handles for easy mounting on standard pegboard hooks, keeping tools within reach. The ‘Amp’ Medium Modmat includes a common ground point with terminal ring to ground the user and the work surface. This helps to divert electrostatic discharge away from components, and the included wrist strap can be used with the alligator clip or the banana plug (which inserts into the ground point).
The Wireframe Mouse Mat is approximately 36” x 12” (approx. 91cm x 30cm) and is printed with highly-detailed computer hardware components from a wireframe view. The Hex 4.0 & 5.0 (mm) head drivers are completely custom-tooled by GamersNexus for PC component disassembly. We have flattened the hex drivers so that they fit flush with the board, allowing the hex socket to get closer to the hex head screws for a better grip. The exterior of the hex drivers has also been ground-down even more, allowing good component clearance when working on PCBs near SMDs or through-hole devices. Being on the road has taught us the value of easily stowed and carried tools. The GN tool bag can fit 10 drivers (all included in the GN toolkit) and also has a zipper pouch for spare parts — like those screws you forgot to put back in, extra thermal pads, or tubes of thermal paste — and is easily rolled and buckled for secure transport.

The underside uses a grippy rubber to help prevent sliding around on the table surface, the borders of the mat use stitching to prevent fraying and damage from long-term use, and the surface is a smooth-tracking microfiber cloth. The design was made completely in-house and the wireframe artwork has even been featured in several of our videos. The goal was to focus on high-quality tools that have a long service life while also improving usability. We made new molds for the rods, which are all 100mm length for a good mix of balance, torque, and grip. The Project & Solder Mat is big enough to accommodate helping hands for soldering, most components under repair, and various accessories like magnifying glasses, ventilating fans, and solder spools.
Even when getting blackened from a soldering iron and its tinning materials, you can clean the surface with a simple rag or shop towel and a cleaning fluid. For deeper cleans, such as for removing flux, adhesive, marker, and solder residue, we’d recommend warm running water and a soft rag with some soap. The GamersNexus Modmat includes a free male common ground point (10mm stud, 6′ cable) with two receptacles for banana plugs, compatible with our included anti-static wrist strap.
